Initial Ideas
As my blog will show i had originally planned to use a different song but due to not being able to get copywright permission (i found the clause after this happened a few times) i had to change my plans.I chose to do a Kid British song and after brain storming about their songs and which one i thought would go well to a video i settled on 'Elizabeth' for a few reasons, the main two being how up beat the song is and the second is the way you think its about a girl and then you find out they are talking about money. So with my song decided i took about thinking of what i should do.I was thinking of a narrative with actual people and even had a few videos and pictures of the chorus acted out by a few of my friends to see how it would play out. After a while of thinking over what i could do, film in Perry Street etc I was the music video of Fell in love with a girl by the White Strips on TV and decided to do my own stop animation Lego video. I started but listening to the song over and over again and reading the lyrics along with it. After a while i did a short brain storm around the lyrics writing basic ideas for scenes etc.I then went ahead to draw up a storyboard which is included here. Before i made the video i played around with the idea of how to do the stop animation and tested the process out to find how many pictures i need to take per second and scene to make it flow reasonably well etc.
